SignWorld is a global media project collecting news, events, opportunities and stories for Deaf people, CODAs, families, interpreters and the wider signing community. Right now we are running a waitlist to measure interest before launch. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Your email address
- Your preferred language
- The time you signed up, plus your consent time and consent version
- Referral information (your referral code and the code you arrived with, if any)
- Basic analytics events related to visits, signups and sharing (event name, time, preferred language, share channel, referral code)

- To measure interest in SignWorld
- To understand which languages are in demand
- To measure referrals and sharing
- To send launch updates and future SignWorld newsletters
Legal basis
Where applicable, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you join the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time.
We do not sell your data
We never sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email us and we will remove you from the list.
Your rights
You can request access to your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will handle your request.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to operate this site: a website hosting and content delivery provider, a managed database and backend provider that stores waitlist and analytics data, and an email delivery provider used to send launch updates and newsletters. These providers process data only on our instructions.
